Tim Keenan

Tim began his career with Price Waterhouse, before venturing overseas to spend five-years working within finance teams of large London-based corporates—an experience that honed his skills and broadened his financial perspective. Returning to New Zealand, Tim spent nearly two decades as a partner of a national accounting firm where he enjoyed building a practice and fostering client relationships, predominantly within the vibrant landscape of private mid-market South Island enterprises. Tim's journey is marked by a commitment to responsiveness and pragmatism and a deep understanding of client issues and needs.

Tim brings a wealth of experience in governance and directorship to his role at Qalibre. His formal governance roles encompass both For-Profit and Not-for-Profit organisations. As a seasoned facilitator and chair of several advisory boards, he provides invaluable guidance and oversight, fostering accountability across management teams and owners. His commitment to governance extends beyond the boardroom, instilling a culture of accountability and strategic decision-making with every client he works with. Tim's experience positions him as a trusted advisor, adept at steering businesses toward sustained growth and success.

Away from the dynamic world of Qalibre, Tim enjoys family life. While two children are now off at university, home life still keeps Tim and his wife Emma busy with their youngest still at high school. The Keenan family indulges in summer boating, and their annual Christmas tradition involves tackling one of New Zealand's great walks. Both here in Christchurch and in his second home, Wānaka, you can find Tim out on the mountain bike tracks or catching up with friends over Pinot Noir and good food.
