Having honed his skills in the CA environment and ascending through the ranks of a national accounting firm, Brent's early experiences paved the way for a profound understanding of intricate financial landscapes, now his expertise. Joining Qalibre as Director in 2019 marked a strategic shift, allowing him to concentrate on growing his advisory practice within a setting focused on fostering robust client relationships and intimate partnerships.

Brent enjoys the diverse nature of the work – every day at Qalibre is different depending on the projects clients are currently undertaking.  Often acting as a virtual CFO, Brent can provide clients with outcomes or options for their financial and commercial issues and challenges they wouldn’t otherwise have the in-house knowledge or awareness of.

Whether you are looking to acquire a new business, sell and move on to new opportunities, get support with funding projects, receive projections and financial forecasts or have consistent access to outside expertise, Brent works closely alongside you as your trusted ally committed to the growth and success of your businesses.

His role is more than interpreting the numbers; it's about becoming an integral part of a client's team, providing expert support on their business journey.

Brent works with clients across various industries but has a particular interest in the health/dental division. He works with various medical specialists, from physio and orthodontic practitioners to ophthalmologists and ENT surgeons. He appreciates their recognition of the value of expert acumen in managing and growing their practices.

Brent is not just a financial expert but a community advocate. Following the Christchurch earthquakes, Brent wanted to be part of bringing back people to the city. In 2015, the opportunity arose to serve as a Trustee for The Christchurch Art Gallery Foundation. His involvement in this role goes beyond financial interpretation; it reflects his belief in contributing to the community.

Outside Qalibre, Brent finds a balance between work, community work and family. Whether participating in his daughter's sports, road cycling, or mountain biking, he embraces the Kiwi spirit that spans his roots in Southland to his home in Christchurch.
